Ragdoll is a Swedish designed line of luxury loungewear, with a lifestyle sensibility rooted in Los Angeles. The brand stood out with a very strong brand personality and an elevated price point, with a niche but loyal following that had been built up organically from its 3rd Street flagship store.
UMBRELLA was brought on to take Ragdoll’s B2C sales to the next level, beginning with an evaluation of their brand identity and marketing strategy. With the aim of rapidly increasing their e-commerce sales, we did a comprehensive overhaul of their content, brand development, web design, social media strategy, paid media campaigns, and influencer marketing strategy. The result was a resounding success, with a 300% growth in their e-commerce sales within 6 months.

Ragdoll’s customers are luxury fashion consumers with a strong sense of style. UMBRELLA revamped the messaging so that there was an emphasis on the product itself. We reframed the brand as stylish essentials with a vintage feel, that can mixed and matched with other elevated statement pieces, which would appeal to very fashion forward customers. With UGC and influencer led content, UMBRELLA was able to really show how Ragdoll was meant to be worn by the audience that it is targeted towards. Its placement with key tastemakers was vital in expanding Ragdoll’s audience.
UMBRELLA’s deep dive into the brand and its data allowed us to zero in on its key products that interest first time buyers. We created animated ads specifically tailored to first time consumers, which led to custom collections of products curated to each ad for frictionless shopping experiences. This resulted in a 210% increase in click through rate, and a 150% increase in ROAS. The final component of their growth strategy has been e-mail marketing, where UMBRELLA implemented sophisticated e-mail flows with exclusive offers and VIP promotions, resulting in a 120% increase in email sign ups.
